The trail along Jones Hole Creek in Dinosaur National Monument is a great place for a hike and catch a trout. If you hike beyond the halfway point to the confluence with the Green River, there's a good chance you will run into this guy and his family.

Wild horses are one of the more common creatures one might see in Ouray National Wildlife Refuge. This family was seen climbing a steep bentonite hill off the main road through the refuge.

Ouray National Wildlife refuge is located on the banks of the Green River as it flows southwest of Vernal. A wide variety of animals call the refuge home at various times of the year. One of the trickiest animals to track down is the red fox. This one was kind enough to make an appearance before he dashed off to grab his mate and run back to the den.
